How often do you want to use a wordpress plugin and think to yourself “Can’t be bothered to “ftp“, “ups”, “u’s & e’s”, “bbc” or whatever it’s called” !! Well – if anyone is using the latest wordpress update (v2.7.1) then the installation of plugins is really easy! Honestly!

If you navigate to the Plugins menu – at the foot of that page is a section called “Get More Plugins”.

Simply click on the Plugin Browser/Installer to view the next menu

Now you then have two choices from that particular menu:-

1. If you haven’t already found and downloaded the plugin (see 2. for details if you have!) then you can simply use the search feature to find the plugin you are looking for! Type in what you want – click search – and normally there will be something there to suit you.

For example by searching for “Twitter”, you will pull up quite a few pages. Find what you are looking for and simply click on “Install” which appears in the right-hand column.

2. If you have already downloaded the plugin to your PC – then fear not – you can simply upload the zip file directly from your PC to your site! Automagically! See the image below.

Now simply “browse” your hard drive for the plugin you have previously saved and then click on “Install Now”! What could be simpler??
