How often do you want to use a wordpress plugin and think to yourself “Can’t be bothered to “ftp“, “ups”, “u’s & e’s”, “bbc” or whatever it’s called” !! Well – if anyone is using the latest wordpress update (v2.7.1) then the installation of plugins is really easy! Honestly!

If you navigate to the Plugins menu – at the foot of that page is a section called “Get More Plugins”.

Simply click on the Plugin Browser/Installer to view the next menu

Now you then have two choices from that particular menu:-

1. If you haven’t already found and downloaded the plugin (see 2. for details if you have!) then you can simply use the search feature to find the plugin you are looking for! Type in what you want – click search – and normally there will be something there to suit you.

For example by searching for “Twitter”, you will pull up quite a few pages. Find what you are looking for and simply click on “Install” which appears in the right-hand column.

2. If you have already downloaded the plugin to your PC – then fear not – you can simply upload the zip file directly from your PC to your site! Automagically! See the image below.

Now simply “browse” your hard drive for the plugin you have previously saved and then click on “Install Now”! What could be simpler??

Enjoy playing around with it – remember you can’t blow your machine up!

How many times have you come across a good blog post and thought “Yes – I’d like to share this with all and sundry!”

Well – a lot of bloggers are now including a “Share-It” icon at the end of their posts and/or pages – and it’s probably about time you did too. Nothing better than getting a bit of promotion is there??

There is one very simple plugin, which, after registering, allows you to fully customise the widget!!

Go to the Wordpress share-this Plugin page here to download the plugin. Install the plugin to your blog as normal and activate it.

Then go to the ShareThis Get Button Page to customise your widget. Once you have the code – simply copy and paste it into your blog settings for ShareThis – and “Bob’s Your Uncle”

Nice and easy – and your fully covered when someone decides they like your post!

Can you use more high-converting web traffic?

I’m guessing you can and here’s why…so many traffic tools out there focus on getting “hits” or “visitors”, but no matter how much traffic you get it’s totally worthless unless it does one thing…CONVERTS. Traffic needs to generate new signups and sales for you or it’s useless. Think of it this way–if you had a retail store and you got tons of people walking by and looking in, would that make you any money? Of course not…

And web traffic without conversions is exactly the same…
